The Movistar Team is a Spanish professional cycling team, integrated into the Pro Tour since its creation in 2005. Formerly Reynolds, Banesto and Caisse d’épargne, it is one of the oldest teams in the pack and one of the most successful. Some of the team’s biggest current stars are World Road Race Champion Alejandro Valverde, Mavi García, Marc Soler, Eider Merino, Nairo Quintana, Sheyla Gutiérrez, Richard Carapaz, Małgorzata Jasińska and Mikel Landa, among many others. Today, the GOBIK manufacturer produces Movistar cycling gear. Real world rider testing is combined with high tech, scientific lab sessions to gain significant improvements in aerodynamics, temperature regulation and comfort in all conditions.
