The DSM cycling team is a German road cycling team. Created in 2005 under a Dutch license until 2014 inclusive, it has been part of the UCI World Tour since 2013. Since the beginning of 2021, it has been named after its main sponsor, the Dutch nutrition and pharmacy company DSM. It was previously called Shimano-Memory Corp (2005), Skil-Shimano (2006-2011), Argos-Shimano (2012-2013), Giant-Shimano (2014), Giant-Alpecin (2015-2016) and Sunweb ( 2017-2020). It has been headed since 2008 by Iwan Spekenbrink. Specialized in sprints for several years with the Germans Marcel Kittel and John Degenkolb, she won Milan-San Remo and Paris-Roubaix thanks to the latter. On the big tours, Tom Dumoulin won the 2017 Giro d'Italia. For the 2017 season, with the arrival of a new main sponsor, the team takes the name of Sunweb. In 2021, Michael Matthews, Wilco Kelderman and Marc Hirschi leave the team, which takes the name of Team DSM. It welcomes the experienced Romain Bardet, who finds his former teammates Nicolas Roche and Nico Denz. Bardet ranks seventh in the Tour of Italy, eighth in Tirreno-Adriatico, as well as in the Tour of Lombardy and wins two races, including a stage in the Tour of Spain. If for their part Søren Kragh Andersen and Jai Hindley are disappointing, Michael Storer shines by winning the Tour de l'Ain, as well as two stages and the mountain classification of the Tour of Spain. Tiesj Benoot is notably fifth in Paris-Nice and seventh in Liège-Bastogne-Liège. For the 2022 season, the Dutch formation recruits several young people, as well as John Degenkolb who returns to the team. She sees the departures of Tiesj Benoot, Jai Hindley, or even Michael Storer.
