The MET Trenta 3K Carbon MIPS is a highly performing road helmet specifically designed for elite cyclists.
Having triumphed in races such as the Tour de France and the renowned Liège-Bastogne-Liège, the MET Trenta 3K Carbon MIPS helmet ensures optimal ventilation and energy savings with every pedal stroke. It represents the pinnacle of road helmet technology.
No compromises have been made on performance, integrating the lightest and most advanced rotational force management system: MIPS AIR®, integrated into the foam. This technology effectively reduces harmful rotational energies transferred to the head during specific angular impacts, allowing for relative movement between the energy-absorbing layer and the foam.
The construction of the MET Trenta 3K Carbon MIPS surpasses that of all other helmets on the market. By leveraging the elastic properties of carbon, our R&D team has succeeded in reducing the density of the EPS foam by 20%, while preserving the helmet's energy-absorbing capacity. This results in a more efficient shell, establishing a new standard in ventilated helmet design.
The strategically positioned vents, initially developed by NACA, ensure optimal ventilation by effectively expelling hot air from the helmet using the Venturi effect. The helmet's tail, endowed with aerodynamic properties, works in conjunction with the NACA vents and rear deflectors to effectively channel airflow. Its lowered profile at the rear has been specifically developed and tested in the wind tunnel at the NEWTON laboratory in Milan.
